I love the shift of parents not wanting to find out the gender of their baby before they are born. What better surprise? To this family’s elation, a sweet baby girl graced their presence, weighing in at a perfect 7lb. The love this family has for their newest addition is evident through these family portraits. This family, in particular, has been through a lot to get to this point. These babies are so cherished. I have a feeling that little sis has everyone wrapped around her tiny finger already.

Big brother Auggie showed his little sister the ropes at her newborn session. If you’ve been to the studio, you might even recognize this family. I have a lovely farmhouse frames collage from Big Brother’s newborn session hanging on the wall. During Freya’s newborn session, Mom and Dad joked about wondering if they even needed to have pictures taken of Freya because these two kiddos look so much alike as newborns!

Once the family portion of this newborn session was complete, we told Freya to sit back, relax, and take a snooze because we’ve got it from here! Little sis clearly understood the assignment. Freya slept through it all, from buckets to bean bags, bowls, and back again! This session was full of neutral tones, soft feminine touches, and texture.
